Alex Kaczun created the original artwork for “Scion.” The Toyota SCION logo, which bears its name, served as the typeface’s source of inspiration. According to Alex himself, “I loved the simplicity, proportions, and hi-tech look of the logo and decided to create an entirely new design series based on its unique look.” There are five different font styles available: thin, light, regular, bold, and black. To allow users to change the overall type color without changing the line length, all font weights were methodically designed on tabular widths.
Additionally, Alex Kaczun has offered us a number of different glyph replacements to further boost the appeal of this modern new design. This typeface series is excellent for display copy as well as text composition thanks to the large Pro font character set, which supports the majority of Central European and many Eastern European languages.
To further expand the possibilities of this fantastic new display, Alex plans to soon include a narrow, compressed, and ultra-expanded, along with true-drawn italic variations. This typeface is very similar to the slash display font.
